Screenshots

For capturing jpg or bmp images of your desktop or while running a game or application there are several free utilities for this. A quick search on the web will see several links for freewares. One easy tried out here is free to downlod at http://www.screen-capture.net/

use prtscrn or you can use programs like PC eye said. Fraps works pretty well for taking multiple screenshots and videos. Also if you use xfire, you can use that to take screenshots.

If you want to send what is seen onscreen at any time to your printer there's one old utility that comes in handy called "PrintNow". You create a desktop shortcut to the small executable and double click on that to make it active. To print "anything" seen on the desktop or in a window even when online simply press the "printscreen"(PrtScn) however you see that on the keyboard. http://www.oswego.edu/cts/services/administrative/banner_printnow.html

The Screen Capture freeware mentioned before saves screen shots in bitmap(bmp) files where others will save them in jpg format. But you can convert bmp files into jpgs easily with another freeware known as IrFanView found at http://www.irfanview.com/ This helps when sending images or posting them online where often the size of the image file is limited.

Note as far as Fraps it runs mainly inside pc games and captures it's own timer as well as the intended image.
