so while messing with my wireless network, trying to bridge my PC to my new Xbox i somehow created a passkey to my router, which i have no idea what it is.

how can i reset my router to be just an open network? right now i am directly to a phone line on another PC, but cannot connect to any other PC via wireless now. any way i can completely reset to be an open network?

What type of router do you have? Linksys is the most common router, and most likely you have one. If you unplug the power and hold down the reset button with a pen tip for about 30 seconds the router will reset itself. You can then dial into the router and reconfigure everything.

Most Linksys routers dial in via 192.168.1.1 with the username blank and the password of admin.

THE above METHOD will reset the whole router, take caution.
