Script editors for python on ubuntu.

New to ubuntu and want a script editor for python that runs on ubuntu. I also want it to be compatible with Panda3d.

Ive tried loads but i cant actually find an install file when i download them, i guess thats a linux thing that i would appreciate someone filling me in about.

BBedit?

I use textwrangler exclusively but it is for OS X only, but it is based on BBedit. I mean all you need is a text editor right?

Its ok ive sorted it now. It was just me being a noob at ubuntu.
