SCSI adapter failure

New Member
Windows 98SE, HP CD r/rw, Nero Express. Previously working fine.
Now gives error of 'SCSI adapter failure when trying to copy entire CD. Will cache and simulate ok, but fails at start of burn process.
Reinstalling ASPI and Nero with no luck. I have installed many little apps since drive last worked successfully so I could use some clues as to what is corrupted and how to fix.

could be a hardware related issue, check to see if everything's still plugged in correctly and go to device manager and look up the status of the drive

Thanks for your suggestion. I cant find any problems with cables etc. Drive appears fine in device manager and will read discs with no problem.
 
Ok its sorted now. I guess it was a connection issue. I opened up again to check all the connections and also decided to add a second cdrom while I was there. Once closed up the drive runs ok again.
