SCSI daisy chain or seperate SCSI connections to controller?
I've got internal SCSI CDROM, CDRW, and HDD with Adaptec AHA 2940U2W SCSI card which has 2, wide, 68-pin connections and one 50-pin connection. My devices are all wide, 68-pin.
My question(s) is/are: Should I connect HDD, CDROM, and CDRW to a 68-pin daisy chain connecting to only one of the 68-pin connectors on the SCSI card, or should I connect 2 devices to one connector, and another device to the other connector on the SCSI card using a seperate cable? Is there an advantage one way or the other? Which devices should connect to which cable, and in what order for optimal performance?
Thank you!
