There really is no need to call it SDR SDRAM or DDR SDRAM, if anything it should just be called SDR and DDR.Yes, the type of memory you're referring to (PC100, etc), was originally known as just SDRAM, however these days it's more accurate to refer to it is SDR SDRAM to distinguish it from DDR SDRAM, DDR2 SDRAM, etc. "SDR" stands for single data rate, while DDR stands for "double data rate".
