Hello. I have a Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 200 gig hard disc where the "control panel" aka where you insert the power and ide cables is broken. The actual data is fine.
On the front panel of the hard disc is a label with following information:
S/N:
ST3200827A
P/N:
Firmware:
Data Code: and Site Code:
Now, i've been told that if two of the above numbers match up, i can swap the control panel (as i'm calling it
), but which two numbers have to match? I have tried with a 7200.9 80 gig and a 200 gig 7200.10 without luck.
