search in folder

Hi all,

I have many excel file in one folder.
when I search one of these files on windows 7 that I don't remember name of file then I can not find it out.
But when type full name which I need finding then I can find it out.
so, how to search an excel file or any file that no need remember full name of file.

I just installed a 3rd Party app to do Searchs on Windows 7. The default Windows 7 Search really sucks.

Well, you need to know at least SOME of the name of the file. A 3rd party app won't help you remember that.

A bunch can be found with Google. I ended up with, Everything.exe a small 300 kilo program.

you can search file name with wildcards. For example, you want to find the file name includes 'data', you can type '*data*.xls', and then a list of match files will be shown, for instance looks like: mydata.xls thisdataismine.xls dataforyou.xls .....
