Search in webpages

Hello all,
I'd a website and a database which held the data of that site,
I am building a web page for the search on that site, how can I do that?
for example, if one entered anything in the search engine, I would like to search the whole database for that word?

You need to create an XML file, and I used the Google search component in the database for my website. I found the information on AskDaveTaylor useful, so check out this link. It might seem a bit complex at first (if you're not used to XML programming/writing), but its actually pretty simple and works well. The page is here.
