Search settings

The only search settings I use is Google.

When I load my Firefox browser the options are shown on the top right.

Suddenly without any reason some other search engines appear there and take priority over Google Yahoo is a regular one.

I usually remove these other search sites, but sadly they keep coming back.

How can I stop this happening.
Thanks

You properly have a browser hijack. It will force predefined settings onto your browser.
Remove them in the control panel and then reapply google. That should do it.

Do you see anything like "safe browse", "istartsurf", "Searchassist" or "CoolWebSearch" in the control panel?

Some of these hijack programs also add extensions/plugins to the browser. They will also have to be removed.

Have you reset firefox or reinstalled it lately? If so, they will reappear. I have firefox and only have google as well and still only have google. They won't just reappear by themselves.
