Searching for a Laptop

Hi guys,

I am online searching for a laptop via Bestbuy.

I could use some help narrowing it down. I am looking to unplug my desktop for now and get rid of the wires. I will be using Plex Media Server on the laptop, I will also be using Adobe Lightroom + Photoshop for editing pictures. This laptop will also be used for streaming since I will have Plex media Server installed and then it will be used for basic web browsing and emails.

Aside from what I have listed (that comes to my mind) I will also use it for recording mixes, but I have already purchased an external sound card on the side.

if anyone has time to help me narrow down some laptops I would appreciate. I would really prefer to stay with windows 7, but I would be up to run windows 8.

laptop continues to loose wifi connection every few minutes..ugh

I have read online that others are having trouble with toshiba. I tried updating the wifi driver since one is available and I can't even stay connect long enough to download it.

will be returning back tomorrow to bestbuy.

and to add to the problem... the wireless mouse that I purchased doesn't even work.

I am able to right click and a pop up will appear, but when it comes to moving the cursor no luck! I have even tried on my desktop machine

Well, plan on waiting to get your refund. It will be mailed to you in the form of a check in 7 days if you're doing a full return. This happened to me on a cash purchase. Not sure on credit card purchases. This is the reason I will not purchase ANYTHING from best buy.
 
Ended up going back to a desktop. The laptops available didn't really catch my attention. Desktop is carrying a i3 with 8gigs of Ram, 1TB HDD and windows 8.

Still an upgrade from my AMD emachine which was only 1.6ghz
