Second 4890, or new card?

This is my first post here, but I am by no means new to forums, so I wanted to say hello and my purpose for creating an account here :)

My specs are as follows

M4A77TD Pro
AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.2 Ghz
40GB SSD
8GB RAM
1x Radeon HD 4890
Win 7 64-bit

If any other info is needed relevant to my question, please let me know:

So I am highly anticipating BF3 and D3, and feel it's time for a GPU upgrade.
Monetarily, would I be wiser to add a second 4890, or upgrade to a new card? We can call the budget $200-300, if a new GPU is the best option.

Would a nicer, faster card be bottlenecked by my CPU? Any other issues?

no bottlenecks and go with a HD6950, then you'll have dx11 and other new features, eyefinity, and all that good stuff :D

and i looked up some benches, dual 4890's were slower than the gtx295, then i compared the 295 to the 6950 since there were none of the 4890's, and the 6950 beat the 295, so it's a good bit better than 2 4890's, ontop of the dx11 and all added. and you can also look at the gtx560ti, a little cheaper, but depending on the game the 2 go back and forth, but at higher res like 1920x1200 the 6950 tends to win, and i think the 6950 wins every single time on 2560x1600

I agree with what jonnyp11 said, but if you really didnt want to spend the cash, you could prob get a HD4890 real cheap and it would be a nice performance increase.
