what second hand pc games can i buy that will work and i can go online with

i know theres problems with the older battlefields and half life 2 so im geussing some other games cant be bought used

can the newer call of dutys be bought used and played singleplayer and online or will the key just come up as being used by someone else?

any other top shooter games would be great so throw some used game suggestions at me

Used PC games are mostly a no-can-do. The last 2 call of duty games (Black ops and Modern warfare 2) are both linked to a persons steam account, so that's a no-go. CoD4 and CoD:WaW although not linked to any sort of account still use "product keys" like most software these days, and therefore there would be a lot of risk involved in buying these 2nd hand.

Your best bet if you want to buy a game cheap is to shop around and see where you can find the games cheapest. PC games are generally cheaper than console games anyway. Check out Steam, Direct2Drive and online stores like Amazon etc...

yeha thats the problem, basically im selling my xbox 360 to get a pc, and the game si have im trading them in to buy games with,

ill get £120 for my games but if im payiong full whack at a gamestation ill probably only get a few games lol :/

i think ill just buy new and get decent games

Unless gamestation are giving "store credit" for the xbox (I don't think they do), then use the money in one of the places I suggested, I rarely buy games from Gamestation or Game as they tend to be quite expensive (and very limited choice for PC).

no its store credit for the games iv got quite a few you see, im selling the xbox seperately

as gamestation is the best place in my town for store credit im stuck with buying games there as if i sell them i will only get £80

so £120 is quite a bit more.

i think i will have to settle for new over priced on this occasion :/

technically CEX is the best around my way, but gamestation now beat any offer by a pound so i get my quote from cex go gamestation and its win win.

its a shame cex dont sell new games because that would be ideal

not to mention gamestations new pc games are limited to say the least

Have you tried Game? Gamestation and Game are essentially the same company, but I have found Game have a wider range of PC games.

yeh game have a wider range deffinately

however they offer like 20% less for trade ins, i got offered like £18 pound at cex for 2 games, game offered me £11

granted they do have a better selection but there trade ins are sub par

its sorted now guys, i bought teh games brand new, a few good deals

so i got crysis max edition, battlefiled bad c 2, cod 4, cod 5 (my favourite ones), and dawn of war 2

i also had like £40 left over
