Okay,
I currently have 2 monitors:
1. DELL UltraSharp 1702FP
2. Sony TFT 17"
Both monitors have the capability, and do, run at 1280 x 1024. Now, my UltraSharp (main monitor) works fine. However, my Sony one will stay on for maybe 5 minutes, and then go off - but with the LED still being green. Okay, I turn it off and on - it stays on for a second and then goes black again. Sometimes it will stay on for longer, but usually only 5 minutes or 1 second.
I have changed my maximum refresh rate to 60 because I know that is the limit the Sony monitor can take. It works fine on my brother's Mac Cube but doesn't work on my PC - which means that it isn't broken (I don't think?) - the card (X1900XT) is fine because I have run dual monitors before without any issues. Also, I tried plugging my DELL into the port where my Sony is in and vice versa and the same thing happens (with the Sony again, not the DELL). I am on Vista but this issue has occured on XP also.
Anyone *any* ideas? I appreciate any input.
