Secondary Laptop OS

So I have a netbook and laptop, specs are in sig. I recently finished installing something on my netbook and pretty much plan on keeping one OS on there for now. However, I would like to dual boot something on my laptop. I want to keep Windows 7 on there, since the specs allow me to play my games and work in PS, LR, and stuff. I'm interested in installing Jolicloud as the secondary OS on my laptop.. I know it's made for netbooks, but I wouldn't mind trying it out on my laptop, if possible.

Does anyone have any experience with it? Or perhaps another unique OS? If this doesn't work out, I may look into Chrome OS (which is available for VMs) and Linux Mint.

I shouldn't run into any problems installing Jolicloud on a laptop, I was reading these comments and someone said they had it on a laptop at 1600x1040, so..

Thanks.

Well what are you hoping to get out of a secound OS? If it is for web browsing any internet stuff then go with google chrome. If you want something for picture/video/audio editing then I would recommend ubuntu studio.

I'm just looking for a unique OS to learn by installing it on my laptop first, but then probably installing it on my netbook later on.

I'll look into the ones that were suggested, they look nice so far.

Thanks.
