Howdy,
I received a couple of used drives that hadn't been wiped, were part of a previous array and have the secure/locked flag set on them, requiring a full erase. I replaced a failed drive and added another which are indicating a foreign config, which would be clearable after drive erasure.
This is doable from the boot sequence from the H710p RAID controller, but is there a way to facilitate that secure erase function through iDRAC/racadm without rebooting? It looks like OMSA might be able to do it but that would also require a reboot to install the ESXi VIB, but I am trying to avoid running to the data center again as this is a colo server.
Thanks yo
