security suite combo

Please suggest programs to use in conjuction with microsoft security essentials. So far I need advise on firewall, anti-spyware, email scanner and any others users can suggest. thank you

well windows on firewall is ok, but you have ashampoo firewall, and zonealarm firewall

for malware and spyware, you have malwarebytes, spyware terminator, spybot, iobit security 360

email scanner you could try avg link scanner

MSE is anti-spyware and email scanner. So not sure what you want and why? Also running different anti-virus/spyware/.............. at the same time can create performance problems.

i have ran combos of both avg or mse alongside both malwarebytes and security 360 and never had an issue, although i dont use or see a need for a 3rd party firewall or seperate email scanner

Please dont run one security package in conjuction with another,Like powerpack mentioned it can cause conflicts between the two.

Id recommend for Security Suites either.

Sure. A hardware firewall is better but not needed by all.

These questions are similar to do I need this CPU? Do I need 4GB or 8GB RAM. The question we have to answer is what do you do?

I can run without an AV if I want and doubt I will get infected. I do run for extra security and don't have infections found.

Some people make a habit of going to Internet sites or do Internet practices that are almost guaranteed you are at risk.

No one size fits all. What are you or anyone concerned about and trying to avoid. Why are you concerned? Those are the basics.
