See phone calls while online?

Is there a free program that allows me to see if I have an incoming phone call while online?

I only have a 56k modem and I have no caller ID with my phone service. I do not want all the caller ID and stuff, just want to see when I have an incoming call while online.

I tried "phone tray" but I need a v92 modem for that.
 
Hmm.. way back when I had dial-up, I used call wave... I think they had a free trial or something...

But if you don't care about a caller ID, I had this device called "Catch-a-call" And it was a little blue box you hooked up to the phone line before the modem, and if you had call waiting, it would ring, pretty loud too, and you could either pick-up the phone, or keep surfing.. I may actually still have it sitting around here somewhere if you want it...
 
Thx, I will check that out. I am an Earthlink member and they have a plan for like 6.00 a month you can see if you are getting calls and they also offer voicemail, not sure about that though.
 
I wouldn't pay an extra $72 a year for something like that on dial-up, but that's just me.. You could also check out download.com and see what they have, I haven't been there in awhile, but as far as I can remember they've had good stuff...
