Seeking fast advice ... Dell multimedia laptop shopping!

Hello. I'm looking to purchase a laptop tomorrow, Tuesday, in the states, and would like some Dell advice. I'm eyeing the XPS M140, but still need to do more research (however, I'm fixed on buying a Dell).

What I seek:
A powerful (P4-M) and mobile mutitasker (dual-core processor) – internal wireless, good battery life, preferably lightweight

Needed for:
Sound & video editing, moviemaking, book publishing, graphic design w/ NVIDIA.

I desire “cross-burnability” – CD/DVD, analog-to-digital (VHS, cassette, LP) --and would like a full-size keyboard.

What I'd like to spend:
Somewhere in the arena of $1500-$2000 for complete package.

You cant have a powerful P4-M and a dual core, its one or the other. I would get the new intel core duo processor, its the best for what you will be needing. I might be wrong but i think the Core Duo processor only comes in one variation of dell laptop.
