Hi all, I recently upgraded my RAM from two 1g sticks that came with my computer to two 2g sticks, pc8500 at like 1037 mh or something.
4g total, though I know I don't utilize all of that with my 32 bit Vista system, but I knew it would still be better than my old RAM.
But I just noticed that my Task Manager screen shows that I am using on average 29% of available physical memory.
I never looked at this before when I had my 1g sticks in there, so I am not sure if that is normal or not. It seems awfully high considering I am just sitting at my desktop with a single internet window open.
Is that saying I am using 29% of my 4gigs? Or is RAM different than physical memory?
I tried looking it up but can't find the info, sorry I'm kind of new to upgrading computers. =)
