more expensive but duel core.

i am a pretty hardcore gamer, other than that i dont do much on my computer, i upload some movies onto my ipod but other than that nothing. I have herd mixed reviews about the duel core and gaming and how some games dont support it, is this true? and i also have herd to wait intill they fix some of the bugs that are going on with it currently. Either processor would be a HUGE UPGRADE, and im pretty much remaking my entire computer atm but just looking for a little info i guess thanks :D

hmmmmmm o.O thanks that is intresting

Opterons are better overclockers, but i would still go with the X2 3800+. If you wanna do some serious overclocking, get the Opteron it will be just fine.

depends on what games you plan on playing. also, the 3800+ is probably more overclockable just because they sell it at a lower price. :)

Not true. Although the Opteron and the X2 overclock around the same maybe the Opteron comes out a little ontop. The only reason i said to take a gander at the Opteron is becuase of the 1 mb L2 cache.
