~BACKGROUND INFO~
I have an Alienware laptop that I'm looking to sell. I bought it back in 2012-ish I think. I purchased the laptop for around $1200, an Alienware TactX mouse for $100, and the backpack/carrying case for $100.
So, being the tech-idiot I once was, I spent $1400 for this over-priced Dell. Now, here I am wanting to upgrade to a better system as this laptop can't handle streaming the newest games I play. This would be a no brainer, and I'd sell the laptop itself, except there are some issues.
The keyboard isn't working properly with the keys "z,x,c,v,b,n,e,d, Space Bar", and more no longer functioning. Additionally, some glue seems to have worn out, causing the space between the screen and the hinges to have separated. It's causing a part to be sticking out of the bottom of the screen, and makes a bit of a cracking sound if I try to move, close, or open the screen in any way.
Other than that, the computer is in good working order. It could use a thorough dusting and keyboard clean, but it functions well and has been well protected with Norton Antivirus and frequent tuneups and scans.
~QUESTIONS~
So, now that the background information is out of the way, here are the questions.
Should I either;
A: Sell the laptop / mouse / case as is.
B: Take the laptop apart and sell the parts.
C: Take the laptop somewhere to be repaired, and then sell it.
If I were to go with A or B, where would be a good place to sell it? I'm hesitant to sell it personally in an Ebay ad since it's wearing out the way it is and Ebay fees are generally pretty high, and I don't know of any legitimate websites that purchase laptops (cashinyourlaptop.com for example, not sure if it's legit). I'm not familiar with this forum, but perhaps the members here view this as an easy cosmetic fix, and it may sell here? I'm also looking to BUILD my next PC, so hopefully this forum will help a bit with that as well.
Thanks,
Cody
