Hello,

I made this rig about a year ago and i'm thinking of selling it, but i've not really got any idea how much it would be worth. Any gestimates would be much appreciated;

Athlon64 X2 4400+
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
BFG 7800GTX (Comes overclocked by BFG)
2G Corsair Matched Pair TwinX Memory
250GB Segate Baraccuda 7600rmp
Earnemax Noisetaker 600W PSU
LG DVD-RW
Creative Audigy 2 ZS 7.1 Sound Card
Belkin Wireless PCI Card
Hyundai ImageQuest Q995 19" CRT Monitor

I know that you can get all these new for about £950, but now its a year old i'm not sure what to even look for.

Any currencies you like but GBP is desireable :D.

Thanks.

id say::
CPU 120
Mobo 80
GPU 140
RAM 100-200ish depending on spped rating
PSU 50
DVD 15
HDD 30-50
SOund 20-30
Wireless 5-10
Screen 20-100ish....

just vauge guestimation

Yeah i kno, such a shame it was lovely when i got it! Maybe if i add that i've got a Coolermaster Centurion C5 with the side panel it will bump the price up a little bit.

yes,.. its a shame pc's loose value that fast. :(
and yes, i think that case ( with everything build into it, so you could just plug it in and play) i guess 750 pound should it be worth then.

Well 750 was what i was hoping for really. I do have a genuine 64bit version of windows too, but the 64bit version might be a put of for some people. Do you think i should sell it as a full package with my keyboard mouse and monitor? Or maybe sell the tower and monitor separate?

i'd try to sell it as a whole first. people tend to pay a bit more if they dont have to screw around with it anymore, so they can just plug it in and it works.
for the windows version.. before you sell it, make a fresh intall of it, so everything is deleted from the HD, is also looks nice when the windows is just installed, and i think people would appriciate it :)

have you looked at simmilair pc's beeing sold?
I mean, if they are cheaper than your's.. make sure to make clear what comes extra with your pc, to justify the higher price. ;)

Well this is a lower spec than mine but has had a lot of interest to start with.

This is getting close but mine still beats it.

And this one is even closer, but i think mine is better still.

I mean tbh it is a nice machine. I'm only selling it cos i started a new job and i don't really use it, so i wanna raise funds for a laptop.

Do you think if i tell people it rocks it will make them buy it :D.

No.. dont tell them how good the pc is or so.. thats usually backfireing.
you could put some numbers with it tough,.. or graphs ( of for example the grafic's card compared with others )

Yeah i suppose if i hit them with cold hard facts then they will probably apreciate it a bit more. I would probably put things like the memory latency and benckmarking results. I'm sure i can let people know i'm selling them the complete package.
