Sending files to my Server

I want to access my server across the internet to drop some jpeg files in the HDD. I am doing some PS work and I would like to do them at home. I have the HDD shared for my home network. I just want to be able to drop files into the HDD from 30 miles away across the internet.

I dunno if sharing and accessing via IP address works over the net.(correct me if am wrong) but in my case i usually ftp.
I once tried to share a folder from home to access from one of my mates home but i couldn't.
i had to setup ftp on my PC to access it !!

you could set up a FTP server
I also think the RealVNC will allow file transfer this would be cool because you could also
remote your server

you can use THIS to setup ftp access or you can use IIS's built in feature !!
