Serious Driver Problems

My sister recently switched her machine from linux to windows XP, don't ask.

anyway since doing so I can't get several very important driver to work properly:

! intel(R) 82810 graphics controller (microsoft corporation) 
? Other Devices
      ? Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

so that's basically what it looks like in the device manager. When I try to update the 82810 graphics controller, it starts installing and then quits in the middle and says it can't complete the operation... what the hell, how do I get this computer to display more than 16 colors.

Was there a Driver CD that came with the motherboard? Otherwise you should be able to find an exe for the driver on google...

I don't have the cd no, and that link you provided is where I downloaded the .exe that I was trying to install.

INTERGRATED GRAPHICS U CAN GET DRIVERS WITH WINDOWS update.

the problem is the internet connection isn't working either. even though the drivers say they are working properly. and both the wireless and ethernet connections are sending packets. They're barely recieving any. So i can't really access windows update...
