Serious hard drive issue need desperate help

hey guys need u to help me out here. i bought a samgsung F1 spinpoint hard drive which is 1TB 7200rpm and with 32 mb cache ...i splitted to 2 drives (1 X 500GB each) but now the i managed to installed windows on it..but it said 488GB in TOTAL SPACE. so i formatted it again it still says 488GB can someone tell me what i can do to make my magic 1TB comes back again :S:S:S

I think your problem is that its still in two partitions, i think you need to delete the partition, so you can have 1TB again.

But, im not too sure...

N.B. once youve done it, dont worry if its a little under 1TB, my 500GB is actually 465GB Blank.

yes thats what i did:S splitted to 2 partition...i am such computer noob but i give it a try thank you for help..hope i wil be able to get it sorted:S
