Serious problem with 24HZ and PC!!!

Hello guys, I am trying to run crysis on my hdtv with vsync turned on. It is locking my TV into a 24hz mode and crippling my FPS at 24. With it off I can get 50-60 fps, with terrible screen tear. I have 2x sapphire 1gb 6850. I have a samsung un46c8000 stereoscopic 3d led tv that i payed well over 2k for. please advise on a workaround! :( Every other game (metro 2033 a good example) runs smooth and easy at well above 60 fps
