server boards?

Im trying to learn about servers and html and all that stuff. On newegg i saw server motherboards. They are more expensive, and i was wondering, what do they do differntly? Do they cool the mobo better or somthing so it can be on longer?

Some are Dual-CPU and most, if not all, use ECC and Registered memory. I dont know if that would make them pricier, but that's my guess.

You can pop Opterons into S939 boards now (thus meaning no requirement for buffered memory)

thanks guys. yea i was just playin around with some stuff. But i did manage to get my own server running, exept you can only access it by the ip currently.
