ok, so for the last 8 months or something I have been using my main build (sig) as a movie server, I have the 500gb harddrive mostly filled with movies. now I want to use it as my desktop again but I want to also have a server. I have 2 other computers but neither of them will take sata drives, theyre only ide. and the 500 i have is sata. I have like 2 160gb ide drives and some 80gb ones but Im not trying to deal with all of that. so what do i do? my options are pretty much :
buy a big ide drive and use one of the old computers as the server
or
buy most of a new computer just so that I can have a server
i dont want to spend any money at all but obviously I cant do that so I guess i want to go for the cheapest option. a 500gb ide drive is 80$!!!!!
