Server Installation and Migration Query?

Hi
I work at a secondary school and we are currently upgrading our server.
The company that are supplying the new hardware and sofware have also quoted 4 days for installation and migration of existining data and users to new server.
Does this seem a bit excessive to anyone I mean 4 days?? It's also at a cost of €550 per day does this also seem excessive?

I would really appreciate any help and opinions here to make sure we're not getting ripped off.
If any more info is needed just let me know!

Thanks!

4 days seems very excessive, especially if all they are migrating is active directory, exchange and your shared folders.

What exactly will they be migrating?

Seems normal to me, and I think they quote worse than it is as a safety measure. Depending on the data being migrated it could take a whole 24 hours or more to just copy the data. That is one day right there. It really depends on the situation. Hell, I have spent 6 hours intalling 1 server before on a rack because the previous people who set the rack up left it in such a mess that it was hard to work on period. Instead of fussing with it, I just basically rebuilt the rack how it was suppose to be.

Also, migrating gives me the impression you are changing platforms. You don't migrate from windows 2000 to windows xp, you upgrade. You migrate from Netware ED to Microsoft AD and things like that. Which is a way more complicated process than just copy/paste.
