Service pack is required

After dealling with some SP available to windows and seeing the mess they cause to the operation system, i started to research on how to bypass many softwares requirement to have such packs to continue the product installation but until now couldnt find a best option.
So, what is possibilly the best way to bypass this installation requirement(maybe some dll, registry keys)?

i think the best thing to do is insatll the sp. it is not bad. it helps out a lot.

??? SP's are vital to Windows, from my experience. They address many fixes, flaws, and improve system performance. Why would you *not* want to install them? Not trying to be difficult, just curious.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 isn't bad. I hate the recent updates Microsoft has been releasing for Windows XP 32-bit. They seem to limit what I can do when using Internet Explorer. It is quite annoying and I don't think I will be installing anymore updates if I can avoid it.

I have all of those updates you speak of installed. I do not find any decrease in functionality in IE. Are you sure you do not have other problems in your OS?

It seems whenever I install a security update that is more recent than Service Pack 2 I run into issues.

For instance, I click on some links using Internet Explorer and here a sound but the link doesn't work (I think some security setting is blocking the internet link). Going into Internet Explorer options I can't figure out why certain links are blocked and other aren't.

This didn't start happening until I downloaded the Windows security updates more recent than Service Pack 2.

If you recently saw IE 7 go on that's your problem since the upgrade from IE 6 fixes many security vulnerabilities and raises the default security settings. IE 7 also now sees an antiphising filter that alerts on phishing attacks or even blocks some sites.
