setting keeps reverting back

I try to set my color quality to 32 bit but after restart it goes back to 16 bit...Why will it not save? I am using this video card and this LCD

using drivers that came with the card,and updated from their web site as well

Yes....I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything as well....Fixing to format if I can't figure this out...Well, probably not any time soon,but its certainly in the plan if I don't figure it out....Already had a similar issue on another system except it was the resolution that kept going back...
