I own 3 connection. Two 15meg connection is my room for my Server/Gaming Rig, and one 3 meg connection in the living room for my Media Center PC and my VoIP. Since I got the third connection I had to dissconnect my network to the livingroom computer and add one more NIC to my Server/Gamin Rig. Up until now I have been using software to combine the two connection in my room. I now use a Load Balancing Dual Wan Router to combin the two so now I only use one NIC on my Server/Gaming Rig. So now I have a free Network card that I want to use to share the movies, music, and pictures with my Media Center Rig, but when I hook it up it always seem to default on the slow 3 meg connection over the 30 meg connection. Is there a way to tell my computer to alway connect to the internet threw the network card that connects to the 30 meg connection and ignore the 3 meg connection. I know I can disable the network card with the 3 meg, but then I can not have a shared folers.

Thanks

sorry to bump so many times, I can not find how to do this.. I am really sick of my computer wanting to default on the slower connection. I have even tried switching phisical ports and it still finds the slower connection as default (maybe because it is using a router and windows likes that?)

So anyone know how I can do this?

Hehe, I think today is your lucky day. Amazing I didnt see all your bumps before though!

I assume windows XP, starts control panel, network and internet connections, network connections, select the one you want to be primary-right click properties, TCP/IP-properties, advanced, turn off automatic metric, place a 1 in the box, ok, ok, close. Then go to the slower connection and do the same except this time place a 2 in the box. There you go.

Why do you need such fast internet anyway?! You must waist a BUNDLE to pay for all that.

why do you have the main PC outside your router?

You may want to set up some sort of gateway or proxy server to manage this. It could be some work though.
