I recently bought an asrock AM2NF3-VSTA. I have a 200gb seagate barracuda 7200.7 sata 1 drive. It is a sata 2 board but says it can take sata 1 but you have to change the jumpers on the h-drive to make it work. Can any1 help me find out how to set the jumpers. The serial number of the hard drive is ST3200822AS.

Thanks a million.

If anything is set, it's somewhere on the jumper and not the motherboard. Check Seagate's website. There should be something there about it.

You would only have to move the jumper if you have a SATA II drive and have it connected to a motherboard that only supports SATA 1. You do not need to change anything. Plug it in and go.

Even then, you dont have to change the jumper, it's just a good idea.
