I am wanting to set up my second drive its a WD160 caviar and right now i have a WD80 caviar and i want to set up the 160 as a 2nd drive or if i can do JBOD raid. just idk how to set up the JBOD or how i can format the 160. some people said to run it through like setting up the first one? my setup is Xp pro SP2.

Your controller will be set for JBOD already so you don't have to worry about that. To format/partition the new drive in windows right click on my computer and pick manage, then expand the storage tree and click on disk management. Find the unformatted disk, right click on it and pick initialize then right click on it again and pick create partition and it will start the partition wizard. Once you create a partition it will ask you to assign a drive letter and format it. There's a pictorial guide here
