Setting up a server

Ok so form my computer tech class I'm working on setting up a server. It's an HP Proliant ML150 and I currently had a problem finding the Ethernet driver but after much research I did happen to find it. Now I have to set up a router and a switch to hook up 10 machines to give them internet. But I'm not really all the experienced in the networking field so setting up this server and creating the DNS and DHCP has been rather difficult aswell as creating the ip address that wont interfere with our classrooms domain. Any help tips or suggestions?
