Setting up an HP networked (wired) printer on a Linksys wireless router

Currently, I have an install of a linksys wireless router based network with 3 ethernet cabled computers and a new HP Officejet networking card built in. Is there a way to directly connect the print into the router and not run it as a shared printer off of one of the computers requiring the computer to be on at all times to print? If you are knowledgeable in the method in doing so, could you please provide a step by step.

Thank you in advance !

Thanks guys for your quick responses thusfar. The model of the printer is a HP Office Jet Pro L7780. At present, I have it directly connected to the router. The installation software seems to force a shared condition requiring the first computer the software is installed to be on at all times which is a pain. If you look at the lower section of this link's website, you will see the similar setup procedure I had followed beginning with inserting the setup cd.

You are not connecting it to a USB Printer port on the router are you? You want to network it using an ethernet lead from a LAN Port of the router.

No, I have it wired directly to the router via an ethernet cable. I was refering to the very bottom half of the document to demonstrate the steps of installing the printer in a wired ethernet setting.

If you do the bottom half of that on the PC currently connected, that PC would be configured.

You then need to run a standard install from the disk, but select network rather than USB each time, on each of the other PC's.
