Setting up an internet connection with Linux.

Well maybe not Linux, Fedora 10. I don't really know the difference.

But I'm on a computer running XP now, and have my Gateway, Subnet, and IP through CMD.

But I still can't get the internet to work on Linux, any ideas?

Fedora is a distrubution of linux, just to clear that bit up. Are you trying to obtain an IP address via DHCP on the linux box or set a static address. If you're setting a static address it can't be the same as what's on your xp machine. The gateway, subnet, and DNS servers should be the same though.
