This might sound stupid but i have been searching and I havent found anything yet. How do i set up a dual boot with my vista as the primary os and linux as my other set up?

i've never done this, but it seems to me like i'd install vista on one partition first, and install linux afterwards on a second.

If you have separate partitions or hard drives, Windows will automatically ask you which OS you want to boot from when you turn on the computer.

you install windows first, then you install linux, then you use a comman line to copy the linux.bin over to a floppy or another fat32 partition and edit also the boot.ini file plus move the bin file to the c partition's root. then you can optionally edit the linux bootloader as well.

I've tried this many times and it never weorks for me with linux and windows. However if it is two different versions of windows it works.
