How easy is Wireless to set up on Linux? Ubuntu or Opensuse comes to mind.

I want to give my sisters pc in her room internet access but for some reason it finds my wireless but always FAILS to connect to it,ive gone through my router settings, tried diffrent security settings and always FAIL.

So i figured i would try Linux to see if that connects, because so far on her machine Xp and Vista will not.

My Laptop wouldn't connect out the box (and then I gave up) - same situation as you have described in your post. My PC does. I have an Edimax wireless card in it. Cheapest one I could find on the net that was on the approved list. £11.99 @ play.com. Has good range too.

I use Ubuntu.

Hope that helps, Doug.

PS, you can always try to connect using a Live CD before you make any permanant changes to her PC.
