Hi, I have tried to reinstall the WinXP yesterday but failed. After the computer is boot from the CD, it displayed a message that there is a problem in Setupdd.sys, the Error Code is 4 and the setup cannot be continued.
I have read some threats from other computer forums and found that "Setupdd.sys, Error Code is 4" is a hardware problem. I have removed all PCI cards from the motherboard (apart from AGP Graphics card), and the problem still appears.
Then, I have connected the HDD to another computer (as primary HDD, only one), and it has no problem to run the window setup. So HDD is ok.
So could anyone please advise me what the problems might be?
I thought it is about the RAM, but not sure since I DO NOT have a spare one to test.
