Shader Model

Hello, recently I downloaded the demo for Splinter Cell 3: Chaos theory but every time I try to run the game a message comes up saying <?int?SplinterCell3.General.DirectX Shader Model 1.1 is required?> I've noticed the shader warning on other games that I have tried playing as well. So I ran the dxdiag thing and it said the shaders were not working. How can I get the shaders working to play this game? I have DirectX9 downloaded but for some reason the shaders are down and the games don't work. I'm using a Dell Inspiron B130 Laptop stock graphic no name brand card like Radeon, Nvidia etc... Please help. Thanks.

uninstall the video drivers and then try reinstall them

EDIT: after reading reviews on your laptop, it looks like you can not SC3 on your graphics

You must have a video card with Shader Model 1.1
to run Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

It will not run on
Shader Model 2.0 cards and older

This is what I found when I searched for the minimum requirements.

* Supported Video Cards at Time of Release:

* ATI® RADEON® 8500/9000/X families
* NVIDIA® GeForce™ 3/4/FX/6 families (GeForce 4 MX not supported)

And if the game would only support SM3.0 cards then they wouldn't sell as many copies of the game as they could.

I've been dealing with Splinter Cell DA issues and from my research, its a pig of a game.
You need alot of gas to run it.

You need non-integrated graphics to run that game.

Care to explain why it works on my card?

Besides, that game would not run well at all on your integrated video.

I'm very very sorry

I was talking about Splinter Cell Double Agent
