my sister has a desktop computer in her room and she has the only high speed internet connection in our house, i on the other hand have a laptop with a wiresless card. can a wireless router only connect to a computer with a wireless card or can they be used to connect to a dektop computer
though an ethernet cable at the same as it is connect to my laptop wirelessly?

if so please tell which router should i buy.
 
you can use a ethernet on the desktop, and setup up the router 2 send signals 2 the wireless card, where are these computers located? like upstairs and downstairs?
 
ok, well you can hook a ethernet cord 2 a wireless router, or use it wirelessly, do you already know this? i dont know how you have your desktop arranged, and where the other room where your laptop is, and dont know where your going 2 put the router, you'll get a ethernet cord with the router, it's about 4 ft., soo you'll have 2 put the router close 2 the desktop.
