Sharing Large Folders Online

I have a folder which consists of 50GB - 500GB files that I would like to share online through a link. I know there is Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and others. Though, is there a way to share it without paying any fees? I have some friends abroad that I would like to share the contents in these folders with them.

If there isn't a way, then what's the least price to pay in order to do this?

Any help is surely appreciated! :)

Any of the cloud storage platforms have a public sharing feature.

You could roll your own web server and host the content as well. Depending on how many friends there's also direct file sharing through an instant messenger of your choice

Setup any FTP server. FileZilla or COPSSH is one.

Download the server and have your friends download the client version of FileZilla.

Open port 21 for FTP and 22 for SFTP (more secure) in your firewall.

Careful doing this over the internet as your login credentials are shared over clear text when connecting to standard/legacy FTP

Have your friends connect to your home PC using SFTP/NFS and have them connect. If you have a NAS it's even easier, since most of them allow you to give secure public links for them to download.
