sharing printers

Our family has two laptop computers in one room of the house that we would like to share a printer with. One of the computers is connected to the printer, and I want the other one to have wireless access to that printer. In another room of the house we have our wireless router with two other computers one of which is designated as the server. We had wireless printer access set up before, but these two laptops were not networked to the other PCs, including the server. I'm not sure what has happened, but one computer no longer has printer access. How do we get this set up again?

Set up printer sharing:
1. Go to the control panel.
2. Double click Printers and Faxes.
3. On the left hand colum click Add Printer.
4. Click next.
5. Select A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer. Click next.
6. Select Broswe for a printer. Click next.
7. Select the Printer from the list of nextwork printers. Click next.
8. Click yes or okay to any priver prompts.
9. Then print away

Well, I pretty much know how to do that already. I have something else going on that needs to be resolved. When I browse for printers, I have two available which is correct, but I am getting error messages when I select one. One of them gives me an error message immediately when I selected and click next. When I choose the other printer, it acts like everything is fine, but when I go to print from a program like Word I get another error message. What is the problem here? The laptop that needs to connect to the printer is sitting right beside the computer that is connected to the printer.
