Sharp Noise coming from Hardware

Just when I thought everything was fixed and alright, I started to recognize this irritating noise that was coming out of my hardware. I really can't describe how it sounds but its a sharp noise that goes on loud to quiet loud to quiet. I'm not sure where its coming from but its not the fan hitting a wire or any other common reason. Only reason to not hear it is to either listen to music or do anything that has to do with listening to something on my computer. Please help!

Yes, i have everything installed correctly.. Also everything is working fine.. just a simple annoying sharp noise.

does it change depending on how much load the system is under? ive had this problem before and the sound changed with the change in cpu load.... i have a feeling it might be something to do with the power supply

I have also had the same problem before. How old is your hard drive? The problem with mine was that I had a huge amount of bad sectors on the hard drive so when I was using the computer alot It would have to work hard to read the data on the drive and being an old drive it made alot of noise

meanman, my graphic card doesnt use a separate PSU but I did add a new arctic cooler to it and there is a switch which I don't know what the purpose of. I am questioning if its coming from there but I doubt it.

Motoxrdude, I am not quite sure of what you mean, but my hardware has some additives to it such as a neon glowing light. I have a top fan that glows and a side fan that glows, but I highly doubt that would be it. I put my ears to it and it seems like its coming from somewhere more indepth of the computer.

Hairy_Lee, i don't think it matters how much load the system is under because it just keeps making the sound, but it can be a possibility. How can I check and how can I fix it?

Thank you for all your suggestions hopefully you guys can still help me find a solution. It might be a small sound, but I am the type of guy who can pick it out and its getting irritating.

childsy_1985, maybe, since my harddrive was out while I was getting a new case, but I am not sure that, that might be the case.

Sorry, i should have been more specific. Do you see any glowing resistors? This is extremely unlikely, but possible. I had a resistor glow and it made a high pich whine, then it blew.

I just opened up my case and experimented by removing drives and turning them on individually and it happens to be the Harddrive or my C Drive that is making the noise. Hmmm, it may be because I had it in the car and also was being stupid and shaking it and etc when it should of been in the computer when I got my new case. Everything is working fine but dang it, this annoying noise is getting on my nerves. Can anyone find a solution? Is there still a way to get rid of this noise besides buying a new harddrive?

Yea that can definitly cause some noise. I would backup everything on that drive right now. ANd no, the only way to stop that noise is to buy a new hdd, unless you have a clean room that has no dust in it or particles in the air at all.
