As shell32.dll is associated with all your icons it looks like it's corrupted, try "Start" / "Run" and type in sfc /scannow to look and replace any corrupt system files. It will ask for your OS disc for comparison of files.
Note the space after sfc.
You could try to re-register the dll first, in the "run" box type "regsvr32 Shell32.dll" without the inverted commas.
