Should I be waiting for DDR3?

Should I wait for the arrival of DDR3? or should I just go ahead and build the current system?

By the way I am getting OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1150 (PC2 9200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory.

Naw just go ahead and build it, since the price for the DDR3 will be around the clouds aka 300$ for 2 gb or something like that
 
Well the 'price" i gave was a guess it could be more, and you would need a new mobo as well which they would be overpriced too
 
Hmm, yeah your probbably right, I am just worried that my system will become old compaired to new systems really quickly because of DDR3.

Think about it, how many of us would ever think of making a DDR system now?

DDR2 has been out for a while, so the comparation isn't the best, if it was pretty "new" like a month or less then you would get the answer that the people would use DDR instead of DDR2 mostly due to the high prices on mobos along with the ram.
 
But what happens after a month?

Does my system turn from awesome, to a nonsenceical peice of poo?

DDR3 will take a while for to get put in lots of peoples pc.

The price is probably gonna be outrageous+ the mobos price.

I say carry on with your system and have fun with it. DDR3 is still new and imo it's always best to wait.

No your system won't be a piece of poo in a month :P
