Hello
So I have this huge dilemma for about a month now, should I buy a 2500$ pc?

And there are a few things to take into consideration; I need to save money to college (but it doesn't cost much (3000$), and its in about 4 years ahead), will the pc be able to run games amazingly as it will in the start on the long run...

I would love to get any suggestions!

Thank you so so much in advance :)

This all depends on what you do. $2500 is alot of coin, and would build a tremendous PC.

That being said, PC parts are like cars, they depreciate and never hold value. I'd personally spend half that, make a solid machine and then in 4 years your going to want to upgrade or build new!

You don't have to drop $2500 to play games. I'd go 2011-3 for that cost, also the PC you listed shouldn't be that expensive.

So you think a 1500$ pc sounds more reasonable?

It depends on what you do. If you just surf the net and play solitaire, then $1500 is a massive waste.

If you are a gamer, $1500 is a good budget for a solid machine.

At $2500 you are overspending for most people.

Got it, I'm from israel, I changed the currency so more people will understand.

Thats bad though, cause there can be a massive difference from country to country and currency to currency. Not to mention availability and most stores we have in North America don't exist in other countries, and vice versa.

EDIT: If I did this right $1000 american dollars is roughly 3,850 in your currency, which is the Shekel? right

I am a gamer, and the thing is about a 1500$ pc is that i am afraid that the upcoming games are going to run bad on it.
For example the forza apex requires a minimum of 3.8Ghz from your processor:/

You can easily build a PC for $1500 that will play most games. A good quad core intel CPU and a good GPU and your are good.

Yea, you are correct.

Do you have a local PC parts shop in Israel? or someplace that you shop at in a neighboring country? or an online store.

We can give you suggestions and guidance, but it will depend on the access and availability to components in your part of the world.

I'm in Canada, and alot of members here are American, many Australians and UK folk too!

Well if you so, I will try to build a gaming computer around that price with a professional, I'll upload it before buying so I'll be sure of myself.

Yeah, maybe a local person can give you insight into what is available there, but then run it by us here and we can advise as best we can so you can make an informed purchase!

I have a nice store's website who can help me build a pc, but I don't have any good computer stores near by me.

Are you going to live at home or student accommodation?

I would suggest you re-consider a mid-range $1500 micro-ATX/ mini-itx machine for the ease of moving if you live in student accommodation.

I will live in home next few years, but I'll still look up what you suggested

Do you have a link to the store you're talking about? It'll help to get a rough idea how much the hardware costs over there.

Keep in mind, computer parts change every year, so there's really no point in giving you a bunch of parts to consider until you are actually going to buy the computer soon.

http://ksp.co.il/?uin=16014 this is the store I'm going to buy the pc from, but it's in hebrew so I suggest using google translate in the page.
The prices are going to be a bit higher I think because of shipping cost.
