Hey guys,

At work we sell those Sandisk Crusier "Readyboost" Pen drives,They sell either the 2Gb or 4Gb version and i was thinking if i should buy one or not? because with my discount il get it quite cheap.

Does Readyboost realy improve system performance in Vista? would it help alot you think?

im not having any problems at the moment but getting one of these would be cheaper than buying more ram.

thanks

I think "readyboost" is more suited for laptops cause they need the performance in vista, on PC well depends how much it costs but u can get 2 extra sticks of ram for under $60 depending on what u are looking for. I might be wrong tho about "readyboost" lets wait for others to post on this situation. Plus if you are looking for more performance there many many guides out there that will help you increase performance.

Well, you have 32bit Vista, so it won't see much more than 3.5GB of RAM, so there really isn't much point, and like you said, if you aren't needing it, then why bother ;)

yeah thats what i was thinking,i just thought that maybe with games like GTA4 might require alot of ram and it might help.

danny i also have a copy of Vista Ultimate x64.

Well, I guess it depends on how cheap you can get one then, it may be worth it, just out of curiosity to find out... You know.

i had ready boost on mine until i realised there was prob no point when i have 4gig of 1066mhz ram...

would only use it on a laptop or a pc that has limited ram and as a quick and cheap sollution
